William G. Posey is an assistant band director, and Director of Concert & Support Services at James Madison University School of Music. Bill is the Marching & Maneuvering Instructor for the 325-member Marching Royal Dukes, Director of the JMU University Band and co-director of the Basketball Pep Band. Bill is also a cornetist with the Massanutten Brass Band and performs regularly with the Stonewall Brigade Band. In addition to his playing, he has been the director of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Concert Band since 1988. Bill has been a clinician for United Music Enterprises and Bands of America, teaching clinics throughout the United States, Canada and Great Britain. He is active as an adjudicator for both marching and concert band festivals. Bill’s professional affiliations include VA Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Kappa Kappa Psi.
